In the late 90's, He went fishing for us. He threw before us some verses in power about spiritual gifts... we left all and followed Him. In following Him, He said, you know nothing about spiritual gifts. We still followed. In following Him, He said, in fact, you know nothing even of what happens when the church meets. We still followed. In following Him, He said, in fact, you don't even know what the church is. It was getting harder as He was tearing down, but we still followed. Finally, He said, you don't even know what the gospel, Let Me teach you. ahhhh.. So good. We began by Him tearing everything down, every definition, every imagination, all things that were dead that men hold in their hands and call righteous. And at that time, He began to teach us the gospel. The start of the gospel is this, John came to prepare the way that Christ might be manifested to Isreal. Mar 1:1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. So, He exposed time after time the dead things. All those things that
we knew from the tree, judging good and evil. Holding that power in our
own hands to deem what must be truth. He told us that morality is at enmnity
with God, because it originates from the tree. He is alive and He speaks.
Morality does not need God. These were hard things for us, our conscience
alternately condemned and justified us. This He washed, that all justification
come from Him. He took the heart of stone from us, the heart upon which
is written the law, and He gave us hearts of flesh, that He might pen His
law upon our hearts. This was our beginning.
If you are interested, we did copy down many of the first things that we heard in a series of yellow notebooks. Most of them are short, and there is a much longer explanation for them. Ask if you are interested in knowing more on any one of these things. Click here to see the Yellow Notebooks. |
